Every time a Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Kansas City Homes agent helps a client find the perfect home, it’s special. But for Blue Valley Agent Lori Lange, a recent homeownership story involving the smallest house of her career was especially memorable. Not only was the home tiny, but the client was quite diminutive as well. It was a perfect match and it never would have happened without a little luck and a lot of love from Lori.
Like many agents at BHGRE Kansas City Homes, Lori supported the company’s annual ‘Go for the Green’ food drive that takes place every year during the St. Patrick’s Day holiday. She donated to the drive which benefits Harvesters food bank to help feed the less fortunate in Kansas City. And like everyone who donates, Lori was entered for a chance to win a custom-built playhouse that is hand-crafted by agents and staff. This year, as luck would have it, Lori won that playhouse. As soon as she found out, she knew exactly what to do with it.
Not long ago Lori helped a young couple, Tyler and Hannah Hlavacek, find and buy their first home… a home they live in today with their son Jaxson (pictured below right), and will soon share with a second child they are expecting later this year. Lori Couldn’t think of a better home or family to receive the beautiful playhouse she had won.
“Jaxson was the first little one that came to mind when I heard my name was drawn as the playhouse winner,” Lori shared. “It was fun to call Tyler with the surprise and I knew the playhouse would be used for years to come”.
A few days later, Lori delivered the smallest home of her career to the smallest client she’d ever worked with, and instantly witnessed the biggest smile she’d ever seen.
Lori’s been in real estate for many years. She’s made a lot of big deals on big homes with big price tags. But she’ll never forget the huge amount of joy a little playhouse brought to one little boy.
