On Wednesday, September 13, the Corporate office hosted a special event in their parking lot to benefit the Veterans Community Project. During a CRAVE food truck lunch, courtesy of First State Bank attendees were invited to tour one of the VCP tiny homes that are being built to house homeless veterans in Kansas City. They were also encouraged to bring and donate items of need for victims of recent hurricanes in Florida and Texas.
The “lot lunch” was an immense success and as you can see from the photos, plenty of people brought donations for help the hurricane victims. Thanks to events like this, our company night at the Royals, and many fundraising efforts across our offices, we have raised more than $20,000 to date. Enough to build a tiny home and start work on a second.
