Goering Assumes the Title After Darrel Stiles Retires
Kansas City Homes’ agent and Assistant Broker, Alex Goering, has been named Managing Broker of the Blue Valley office. He took over on January 1st of this year.
This change is part of the office’s succession plan. Stiles selected Alex as his replacement, and the two worked together to ensure a smooth transition that took effect when Stiles officially retired on December 31st, 2020.
Alex, already a decorated and successful agent and former team lead for the Goering Group, is ready for the new role. In 2017 he was awarded Salesperson of the Year from the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS®, and in 2019 Kansas Association of REALTORS® awarded him Realtor Salesperson of the Year. He followed that up with being named to the 2019 REALTOR® Magazine’s “30 Under 30” list, which celebrates 30 of the country’s brightest rising stars in real estate.
Theater is a passion of his and while earning his degree from the University of Kansas, he toured Kansas City performing opera and musical theater. Alex still performs with the Kansas City Lyric Opera, and if you tuned in for the KCRAR annual holiday party, you heard his operatic talents.
In addition to his accomplishments in the real estate industry, Alex is incredibly active in the community. He and his wife are board members at a local nonprofit youth theater organization and manage the youth music program at Country Club Christian Church.
President and CEO of Kansas City Homes, Christian Barnes, was incredibly proud to name Alex Managing Broker, citing her multiple years of experience working with him.
Alex is a dynamic professional in every sense of the word. I have enjoyed working alongside him as a fellow agent and leader. I am proud to see him reach this new height and continue to make his mark in the company and within the industry.
Alex began his career in 2014 with the Blue Valley office, so becoming Broker was especially important to him. He went on to say,
'Growing up’ in the Blue Valley office, I was able to learn under some of the best agents and best leadership in the business. Darrel Stiles was a true mentor, and I will be forever grateful for his friendship, leadership, and faith in me. I'm honored to serve my colleagues as the Managing Broker here. I look forward to building on the success my predecessor achieved. Darrel left big shoes to fill, but I feel comfortable knowing that he's tied them tight.
