BECOMING A LICENSED AGENT
Whether you live in Kansas or Missouri, you’ll need to take pre-licensing courses and pass the licensing to become a REALTOR® with our company.
KANSAS LICENSING REQUIREMENTS
In the state of Kansas, you must complete a 30-hour pre-license course at a state-approved school, pass the Kansas Salesperson Examination prior to applying for a temporary license, and complete a 30-hour post license course within six months of licensure.
MISSOURI LICENSING REQUIREMENTS
In the state of Missouri, you must complete a 48-hour pre-license course at a state-approved school, pass the Missouri Salesperson Examination prior to applying for a salesperson’s license, and complete an additional 24-hour Missouri Real Estate Practices course.
KANSAS AND MISSOURI RECIPROCAL LICENSURE
The process for securing a license in your non-resident state requires applying for and receiving Certification of Good Standing form your home state, applying for a reciprocal license in you second state, and paying a fee. Missouri residents must complete the Kansas post license requirement and Kansas residents must complete the Missouri Real Estate Practices course.
