Born and raised in Kansas, I grew up on a farm. My family raised quarter horses and I have competed in local and state level competitions most of my life. My husband and I share two wonderful children together, a son and a daughter. My daughter was recently diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes, (Type 1) at the young age of 3. This has changed our lives for the better and we look at everyday as a gift. My family and friends are an important part of my life, along with my horses and other animals (I refer to my home as the zoo!)
I love a good glass of wine, a home cooked meal and spending time with loved ones. My favorite place to visit on the East Coast is Newburyport, MA where the beach and the Lobster Rolls are plentiful. I also enjoy traveling to the mountains in the fall, when the leaves turn and the air is chilly. I have traveled to Paris where my husband and I took a cooking class at Le Cordon Bleu, and I fell in love with Europe. I hope to make many return visits as my children get older. I continue to ride horses when I can and really enjoy watching my kids take the reins. I am enjoying going to my kids' activities and am officially a "soccer mom!"
