Get To Know Ed BroxtermanBack

I was born and raised on a farm in Kansas so hard work and honesty are guiding principles to my business. In addition, I have lived and worked on both sides of the state line and have helped people move into their dream condo, townhome, villa or single family home in Johnson County (Mission Hills, Overland Park, Olathe, Lenexa, Leawood, Shawnee, Mission, Prairie Village, etc.), North Kansas City, downtown Kansas City, Brookside area, Waldo area and around the Country Club Plaza. I have also referred many friends to agents in other cities in order to ensure that their relocation will be handled with the care and professionalism they deserve.
Professional
I've worked in new homes, resale, foreclosure homes, rental property and I have flipped 7 homes in the past few years. Occasionally, achieving my clients goals takes a little creativity and thinking outside the box, which I really take pride in. Sometimes it takes asking the Seller to pick up the Buyers closing costs and other times it takes applying the strong negotiating skills I learned from my mentors at a commercial real estate firm whose clients included Wal-Mart and Hy-Vee.

In addition, if building a new home is in your plans, I have worked in new home communities for some of the areas top builders including these past Presidents of the Home Builders Association: Tom French, Bruce Rieke, Paul Robben and J.S. Robinson. I understand construction, what to expect from builders, Builder contracts, Builder Warranties and what to look for in Homes Associations rules and budgets to make sure you're protected.

In addition to working with buyers and sellers, I have also been working with Banks on selling their foreclosed homes. These homes can be great values for those clients that don't mind doing a little work. I understand the bank foreclosure process and I can help you find that super deal.

With this combination of real estate sales, I was able to achieve #7 in volume for Prudential Kansas City in 2009 out of more than 500 agents. Also in 2009, I started purchasing investment properties for myself. I bought a rental duplex in 2009 as a long term investment. I have also purchased eight homes that I have remodeled and then resold. Buying or selling a home can be a complex process. Whether you need expert advice, market information, or assistance to find the home of your dreams, I am here to help you with all of your real estate needs.
Education
I attended Kansas State University where I received my Bachelor of Science in Math Education and my Masters in Business Administration. Having entered my 13th year in selling real estate, I have found that I get to utilize both of my degrees on a regular basis. It is extremely rewarding to help my clients achieve their goals by teaching them the process of buying and selling their home while also understanding the financing and marketing aspects involved. I have also completed Ninja training, Dale Carnegie Training, Bob Schultz Boot Camp and an a Certified Sales Professional through the Homebuilders Association.
Affiliations
Invited on the 2013 Recognition Club Trip. Winner of the 2010 Hands for Service Volunteer Award through the national office of Prudential. I was a guest speaker for the 2011 Johnson County Parks and Rec Olympic Day with over 600 participants and interviewed for a Sermon Series with Church of the Resurrection. Took part in the 2011 BMW's national Olympic Day event by being the celebrity guest speaker.
Personal
I have also found that many of the skills I used in attaining my biggest accomplishment, earning a spot on the 1996 U.S. Olympic Team, are critical to my success. I am a determined, motivated, goal oriented and passionate person looking to find the exact home for you within your budget. Not only will I look out for your best interest, but we'll have fun doing it.

I have also used these same skills in my volunteer activities with Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Kansas City(joined the Donation Center Board for BBBS in 2009), Habitat for Humanity, Relay for Life and Ronald McDonald House Charities. In addition, I enjoy traveling the world having been to Israel, Mexico, Canada, Bahamas,British Virgin Islands, St. Thomas, St. John's, Cozumel, Belize, Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, England and Scotland along with most of the states in the continental United States.
